Hybrid Cooling Tower (Plume Abated)

The ICT Advantage

Our Team of Engineers utilizes our in-house developed software to optimize hybrid cooling solutions to drive efficiency in the cooling industry. With extensive experience in harsh climates, ICT offers specific features where extreme heat or freezing risks must be managed.

Benefits

High thermal efficiency due to evaporation from the wet section

More cooling density per sq ft than dry coolers

Uses less water than wet cooling towers

Flexible performance across all seasons

Reduced plume visibility compared to wet cooling towers

Solutions

ICT offers customizable hybrid cooling solutions to meet project specifications. Whether the Project goals are plume reduction, operational flexibility, power or water reduction.

More Information

A hybrid cooling tower combines features of wet (evaporative) and dry (air cooled) cooling technologies in a single piece of equipment. Its purpose is to reduce water consumption, visible plume, and environmental impact while maintaining heat rejection performance close to that of a conventional wet cooling tower.

Minimum Approach Temperature:

Cold Water Temperature > 5 Degrees Above Design Wet bulb Temperature – Wet Section

Cold Water Temperature > 10 Degrees Above Design Dry bulb Temperature – Dry Section
